FRS’s “Class Action of the Month” for February 2023 is Farm-Raised Salmon Indirect Purchaser.
In 2019, class action lawsuits were filed on behalf of an Indirect Class alleging the Defendants and their co-conspirators combined and conspired to fix, maintain, raise or stabilize prices of farm-raised Atlantic salmon and products derived therefrom in violation of federal antitrust laws. At this time, the class has reached a settlement with the Defendants (listed below) in the amount of $33 million. If your business indirectly purchased, for resale, Defendants‘ farm-raised salmon and/or products derived therefrom (such as salmon fillets or smoked salmon) from April 10, 2013 through November 17, 2022, you may be able to recover money. The claim filing deadline is February 17, 2023.
