Class Action of the Month (Farm-Raised Salmon-Direct)

FRS’s “Class Action of the Month” for September 2022 is Farm-Raised Salmon.

In 2019, class action lawsuits were filed on behalf of a Direct Class alleging the Defendants conspired to fix, maintain, raise or stabilize prices of farm-raised Atlantic salmon and products derived therefrom in violation of federal antitrust laws. At this time, the Direct Class has entered into a settlement in the amount of $85 million (this settlement received final approval). If your business purchased farm-raised Atlantic salmon and/or products derived therefrom (such as salmon fillets or smoked salmon) from April 10, 2013 through May 26, 2022, directly from one or more of the Defendants (listed below), you may be able to recover money. The claim filing deadline is September 23, 2022.
